Slow Stories is a multimedia project created by Rachel that explores time, pace, and creativity in our digital age. It ultimately laid the groundwork for her first book, Slowing, which Chronicle Books published in September 2024.

Rachel launched a newsletter of the same name in January 2024, which features podcast episode updates, book process snippets, and personal essays.

From 2020-2022, she produced and wrote a supplemental editorial series called Slow Seasonswhich featured collaborative content and interviews with Eileen Fisher, Billy Reid, Ostrichpillow, and more.
